Terms of use
These terms of use are deliberately short. QR Code Forever is a free tool that runs in your browser; you may use it for any lawful purpose, the codes you make belong to you, and we make no promises beyond doing our best to keep the tool accurate. Please read the warranty and liability sections before relying on a code for anything important.
Use of the site
You may use QR Code Forever free of charge for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, in any quantity. You do not need an account, and you do not need to credit us. You may not use the site to create codes that encode unlawful content, that link to malware, phishing or fraud, or that infringe someone else’s rights, and you may not attempt to disrupt the site or its advertising.
Your codes
The QR codes you generate are yours. We claim no rights in them, we do not store them (unless you turn on the local history feature, which stores them on your own device), and you may print, publish, sell and distribute them as you see fit. You are responsible for the content you encode and for the destinations your codes point to.
Destinations
A QR code made here contains the address or data you typed. We do not host that destination, we do not check it, and we have no way of knowing what is at the other end of a link or whether it will still be there later. If a code stops working because a page has moved, that is between you and wherever the page lived. The why QR codes expire guide explains how to diagnose it.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. In particular:
- The verification badge is a check, not a guarantee. It confirms that a scanner engine decoded the on-screen code back to the text you entered. It cannot confirm how your printer, your paper, your lighting or every phone model will behave. Test before printing at scale.
- Capacity, size and distance figures are guidance based on the QR standard and common practice, not a promise about any particular device.
- We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time. Codes already made are unaffected, because they do not depend on the site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QR Code Forever and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or any code made with it, including reprinting costs, lost business, or damage caused by a destination you or a third party chose. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.
Trademarks and third parties
QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. All product and service names mentioned on this site, including the platforms named on use-case pages, are the property of their respective owners. QR Code Forever is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Do not upload logos you do not have the right to use.
Advertising and third-party services
Pages may show ads and load analytics under the conditions described in the privacy policy. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions go to the contact page.
